The national minimum wage is set by the government each year. In 2010, the minimum wage for over-18s is €633.30 per month or €8,866.20 per year (which includes 12 monthly payments and two special payments). However, the minimum wage for each occupational category is usually negotiated in a collective labor agreement.
Below there is a table of the average pay in Spain for certain specific jobs to serve as a guide:

Note: salaries for miscellaneous industries at companies with less than €25M in sales, fewer than 151 employees and reflecting the average pay in Madrid, Barcelona and Vizcaya
