Danish group RewAir to begin activities in Spain in Castilla-La Mancha

RewAir Spain, the wholly-owned subsidiary of RewAir Holding Denmark, has chosen Villarrubia de los Ojos (Ciudad Real Province) in the Castilla-La Mancha region for the location of its new production center, its first in Spain.

RewAir supplies glass fiber and compound components to wind turbine manufacturers. One of the keys to success is therefore a local presence and geographical proximity to clients. The competitiveness of the company’s products and services is also highly dependent on labor and logistics costs.

The company describes the location of Villarrubia de los Ojos as optimum for RewAir because it is an ideal place for the supply of Spanish and other neighboring markets. Production will begin with a team of 5 to 7 direct workers and growth will accelerate in the short term for the development, manufacture and supply of just-in-time kits and glass fiber and compound components for the rapidly growing wind energy sector.

The director general of the Agency for the Capture of Investment “BestinCLM”, Olivier Poncet, joined by the President and Chief Executive of RewAir Holding, Soren Laureen, presented the project on the 24th of June in Villarrubia de los Ojos (Ciudad Real).

RewAir’s choice to begin activities in Castilla-La Mancha was described by Olivier Poncet as “fundamental for our region because it strengthens our position as a leading region in the attraction of investment related to the production of elements and components for the production of renewable energies.”

The president of the company went on to highlight the strong backing received from the Regional Government and the Local Administration and stressed “the importance of good infrastructure planning in the region and access to qualified and motivated workers. We cannot wait for our business to grow alongside our clients and the local community in the years to come”.
