CEAGA has signed a collaboration agreement to become part of the Lean Advancement Initiative (LAI) Consortium of the Massachussets Institute of Technology (MIT), to which other important international companies belong. With this strategic agreement the Cluster will increase notably the value creation for its members; across a model company-orientated that focuses in facilitating the Lean transformation thru actions, the relations and the knowledge creation.
Inside this collaboration frame, this week a LAI-MIT delegation visited Vigo to learn first hand about the automotive sector operation and to collaborate in starting the CEAGA new educational project. The group of the Lean Advancement Initiative (LAI) was formed by Richard B. Lewis, the ´EXEC´utive Director and Nicolene Hengen, Communications and Associates Director.
During the visit Pedro Piñeiro, Board Advisor, presented the new Cluster educational project to the companie’s representatives. On the other hand, Richard Lewis, the ´EXEC´utive Director of the LAI of Massachussets´s Technological Institute, presented the opportunities of collaboration with CEAGA.
The Lean Advancement Initiative of the MIT offers to the members of the industry, the government, and the education the most recent knowledge, as well as the products and instruments related to support the change in the company to Lean transformation. So, CEAGA has access to initiatives promoted by the MIT to accelerate the Lean transformation, as well as the opportunity to work as a whole with other companies and international entities.
