Ryanair Announces New Base in Spain

Irish air carrier Ryanair has announced that it will open its fifth base in Spain, in the city of Malaga, at the cost of $250 million.

The company will start operating from June 2010 with four aircraft servicing 19 routes. It will fly from Malaga to Berlin, Goteborg, Oslo, Paris, Pisa, among others.

The undertaking will create more than 200 jobs in the southern region of Andalusia and boost traffic at Malaga airport to more than two million passengers.
