Germany-based BayWa, a solar panel manufacturer, plans to establish a 70 megawatt photovoltaic plant in Alicante, Spain. The plant will involve an investment of €150m and will be operational in January 2013. The complex will generate enough electricity to supply clean energy to about 35,200 homes. To develop the project, BayWa has created a joint venture with Wirsol, a specialist in the design and construction of solar plants.
