Pirelli appoints Gian Paolo Gatti Director General of the firm in Spain and Portugal

The Italian manufacturer of car tyres has appointed Gian Paolo Gatti Director General of its subsidiary in Spain and Portugal, according to a company press release today. He replaces Fabrizio Rustchmann, who is going on to lead the Human Resources area of the group.

Gatti is a 49 year-old Economics graduate from the University of Pavia specialized in Marketing. He has spent his entire professional career at Pirelli, which he joined in 1986 as a sales promoter in Italy.

In his new post, Gatti will be responsible for the management of all Pirelli Tyre Spain’s divisions, and will handle areas concerning the structure of the company. He will therefore work on the implantation of Pirelli’s new logistical installations in Manresa.
