ICEX-Invest in Spain will enhance its already existing array of instruments to support enterprise with a new program designed to attract international talent and entrepreneurship. The primary aim of this initiative is to contribute to increasing and enriching the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem, generate synergies with Spanish entrepreneurs and startups, and position Spain as a technology and innovation hub. It is worth noting that one of the keys to success for more mature enterprise ecosystems is their capacity to attract foreign talent.
Ten participants in the first edition
“Rising Startup Spain” is a six-month program designed to facilitate the arrival of innovative foreign programs in Spain, and featured ten startups in its first edition. The program will not only make it easier for participants to obtain the corresponding visas and work permits but will also provide a free work space in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona, advice for contacting specialized investors, and direct and non-refundable financial help for each beneficiary up to a maximum of 10,000 euros.
Rising Startup Spain is open to all innovative projects developed by foreigners or non-resident Spaniards who set up a company in Spain, or if the company is already constituted in Spain it must be less than one year old when it joins the program.
All entrepreneurs interested in this first call can submit their applications until 30 September. More information and application.
