Dospuntos and Vía Célere have announced an agreement in which Dospuntos, controlled by the capital risk company Värde, will acquire the Spanish real estate development and construction company for 90 million euros. This unites two strong real estate developers in Spain on a single course to accelerated growth. Together they will continue operating under the commercial name of Vía Célere, and will manage a portfolio of more than one million square meters.
The new company will focus on providing end-to-end services in the residential sector, and reinforce its industrialization and energy efficiency processes, areas in which Vía Célere is a pioneer. The new company will integrate the land portfolio, real estate promotion activities and both parties' current new construction projects, with the aim of increasing its presence in the markets in Madrid and Barcelona.
The previous owner of Vía Célere, Juan Antonio Gómez Pintado, will continue to head the company as chairman and managing director, and Javier Eguidazu, who occupies the same position in the purchasing company, will retain a role in Värde Partners in an advisory capacity.
Tim Mooney, Global Co-Head of Real Estate for Värde Partners, explains: “Since leading the restructuring of Grupo San Jose, we have made significant strides in streamlining Dospuntos' real estate business and positioning it for growth in the recovering Spanish residential market. Today’s acquisition is consistent with–and will further accelerate–that growth”.
