In 2016, ICEX-Invest in Spain set up Rising Startup Spain, the first program designed to attract international talent and innovative business models and contribute to enriching the Spanish entrepreneurial fabric. Another of its aims is to position Spain as one of the main technology and innovation hubs in Europe.
15 participants in the second edition
The first edition of Rising Startup Spain was a resounding success, both due to the large number of foreign entrepreneurs who entered the program and to the quality of their projects.
In this second 2017 edition which has just been launched, the number of winning startups will increase from ten to 15. In addition to the services offered by the program –obtaining visas, free workspace in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona, specialized mentoring adapted to the needs of the company, and financial aid of 10,000 euros per company–, they will also be given visibility in specialized media to publicize their entrepreneurial project in Spain.
Rising Startup Spain is open to all innovative projects developed by foreigners or non-resident Spaniards who set up a company in Spain, or if they are already constituted in Spain, they must be less than one year old when they join the program.
All entrepreneurs interested in this second call can submit their applications until July 31. More information and registration.
