Last May 22, Facebook announced the opening of a new content review center in Barcelona. To undertake this activity the American company has formed an association with Competence Call Center (CCC), which has already published its offer to hire the first employees in this joint venture.
According to Facebook, by the end of this year the center will have 500 content reviewers working in several languages to deal with the different communities who use the social network. In addition to reviewing the contents reported by users, the new employees will work actively to prevent harassment and other types of abuse.
The offer of CCC employment states that the new employees will work in its new office located in an emblematic area of Barcelona. According to its website, the address of this new office is Avenida Diagonal 221, the famous Agbar Tower.
The social network frames the creation of this center, which comes in addition to its other centers in other countries, as part of its strategy to invest in more people and better technology to make Facebook a safe place where people can express different points of view. The company recently published for the first time the internal guidelines its review team will use to decide what contents should be eliminated.
