The private flight operator Heron Aviation has announced the acquisition of a new plane for its Spanish fleet, thus reinforcing its service in Spain. The new Citation Mustang 2009 is the first plane to be registered by the German company according to article 83 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), agreed by the authorities in Germany and Spain in December 2010 and regulated by the cross-border supervisory authority for foreign-registered aircraft between the two countries.
This is the first step for the company, with headquarters in Madrid and led by José Manuel Pérez de la Cruz, in its planned expansion in Spain. The new aircraft, which will be based in northern Spain, is offered to its customers as an option for urgent business and weekend trips throughout the Mediterranean area, thanks to its capacity to attain distances of over 1,800 km and cruising speeds of more than 600 km/h.
The new aircraft thus contributes to the growth of Heron Aviation both in Spain and in southern Europe as a whole. The sales and marketing activities, with 24/7 sales support, will be managed from the Madrid office.
