Reasons to invest

1 Strategic position

Castilla-La Mancha is a region located in the center of Spain and which shares its boundaries with seven other regions (Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla-León, Region of Valencia, Extremadura, Madrid and Murcia), and due to its advantageous position, it has direct access to over 70% of the Spanish population, a market of more than 34 million people.

2 Aid, incentives and support for business funding

Castilla-La Mancha offers major incentives for hiring and training workers. Services conform to a company’s specific hiring and training needs.

The Plan Adelante is Castilla-La Mancha's strategy to reinforce entrepreneurship. It is designed to improve competitiveness, foster growth in business, and create and consolidate employment. It is structured around six areas, with investment backing through REGIONAL ECONOMIC INCENTIVES playing a key role. These are non-refundable investment subsidies granted by the central government to promote business activity in predetermined areas in order to reduce the economic disparity in Spain, distribute activities more evenly, and reinforce the regions' own development potential. The FOCAL program offers regional aid to invest in the processing, marketing and developing agricultural products as well as to promote quality agri-foods.

3 Excellent infraestructures

Castilla-La Mancha has a first-rate communications network that fosters interconnectivity between the provinces by transporting goods and people not only by way of an exceptional road network but also through its conventional and high-speed rail system (AVE).

The region borders half of the peninsula’s autonomous regions, is crossed by 4 of the 6 main national highways, as well as railway lines that connect central Spain with 14 of the 24 ports on the mainland. This allows the region to be a key player in all activities that impact the center of the country.

4 Industrial land available

In Castilla-La Mancha, industrial land is abundant and of high quality. Its many industrial estates are equipped with all the necessary services, and both regional and local institutions are available to help any companies interested in setting up in the region.

The local government promotes the nearly 30 million m2 of locations available in the region through the Industrial Land Map of Castilla-La Mancha.

5 Support from the regional government

The regional government is firmly committed to the industrial and business development of the region. As such, it develops policies that support entrepreneurs, like the Plan Adelante and incentives for training and employment, while maintaining a collaborative attitude which encourages new companies to set up in Castilla-La Mancha.
