The tractor manufacturer John Deere acquires King Agro

With this transaction, it acquires the capacity of the Valencian company in carbon fiber technology

The American company Deere & Company has reached an agreement to acquire the manufacturer of carbon fiber technology products King Agro, headquartered in Valencia and with a factory in Picassent. The two companies had already entered into an agreement in 2015 for the development and distribution of carbon fiber pieces for John Deere machinery for use in the agricultural sector.

The agreement between both companies provided users with more versatile, resistant and durable self-propelled spraying equipment thanks to carbon fiber, a technology that has ended up convincing the American company of the advantages of including the Spanish company in its group.

For John May, Agricultural Solutions Manager at John Deere, “this transaction offers the customers of John Deere the opportunity to even further benefit from the unique knowledge, design and experience of King Agro in carbon fiber technology”.

King Agro is a family-owned business with close to 180 employees and an experience of 30 years in the development of carbon fiber products. In agriculture, it has focused on innovative designs that improve productivity and lower costs. The brand will continue as such after its integration within the group.
