The Barometer presents the opinion of foreign investors on the Business Climate in Spain, obtained in an annual survey

The “Barometer of the Business Climate in Spain from the Perspective of the Foreign Investor” reflects the opinion of foreign investors, collected in an annual survey, on the Business Climate in Spain. The Barometer reaches its fourteenth edition and has become a must-read publication in Spain. Each edition presents the score and importance that more than 700 companies with foreign capital attach to the business climate in Spain in 2021. It also includes their forecasts for the year-end and next year. It identifies, in the medium term, the Spanish economic and social environment strengths that must be maintained and the main spheres of action that require further attention. The overall assessment of the Barometer reaches values significantly similar to those of the year before the pandemic. Investment firms anticipate a general recovery in 2022 for all areas analyzed (investment, workforce, revenue and exports). The Barometer assesses the following core Spain's characteristics and conditions in relation to its labor market, taxation, regulatory environment, infrastructure, costs, financing, human capital, innovation, market size and quality of life.
