Invest in Spain Summit

Madrid | 27 april 2026

Now in its second edition, the Invest in Spain Summit has established itself as a strategic initiative by the Government of Spain to strengthen the country´s position as a preferred destination for foreign direct investment. The event brings CEOs from over 75 multinational companies from 25 different countries together with the economic and innovation representatives of Spain´s Administration.

In its first edition (2025), the Summit generated investments worth over €4.4 billion and created more than 4,500 jobs.

This second edition reinforces that practical approach with around 180 bilateral meetings between international investors and institutional representatives at the highest level.

According to the ICEX Business Climate Barometer, 85% of executives from foreign companies established in Spain expect to maintain or increase their levels of investment in the country in 2026.

Spain is the 12th largest recipient of foreign investment globally, with a stock of FDI standing at $867.636 billion — the highest figure on record and close to 50% of the country’s GDP.

Furthermore, it ranks as the EU’s leading recipient of greenfield projects in the first quarter of 2026.

More than 22,000 foreign-owned companies operate in Spain, generating around two million jobs in strategic sectors such as technology, energy, sustainable mobility and life sciences.
