Ford allocates new compact SUV to Valencia plant
Bronco production will begin in 2028 and its market launch is scheduled for late 2029.
Ford has announced the launch of five new passenger cars and two commercial vehicles over the next three years. One of the cars will be produced at the Almussafes plant in the province of Valencia, as was announced during the company’s special meeting with European partners and dealers, held in May in Salzburg (Austria).
The new Ford Bronco is a compact SUV that will be manufactured on a multi-energy platform, designed to operate equally well with different types of powertrain, from petrol to electric vehicles. Following the necessary investments that the company will make at its Almussafes plant to adapt the assembly line for this new model, production will begin in 2028 and it will reach the market by the end of 2029.
Product and technology rollout
The five passenger cars that the American brand plans to launch will be entirely new, manufactured in Europe and designed for European drivers. All of them will be multi-energy models. The company aims to lead the European market with this combined rollout of products and technology for commercial and private customers, planned for the next three years.
The other four passenger cars are a small electric hatchback, a small electric SUV and two crossovers. The two commercial vehicles are pick-ups capable of the most demanding jobs, from emergencies and mining to military uses, and a fully electric urban van.
