NTT Data opens fifth Andalusian site and announces another to be launched in 2024

Three hundred professionals are already working in Granada, and another 200 will join this year

Information and Communications Technology services company NTT Data opened its fifth office in Andalusia in February. After Jaén, Seville and Málaga, this time the Japanese company has chosen Granada, where it already has 300 professionals working and expects to reach 500 this year. It also announced the forthcoming opening of another branch in Almeria.

NTT Data develops innovation projects for local, national and international clients from its new office. The Japanese company's commitment to a model of local offices spread throughout Spain aims to offer greater value to customers by adapting to their regional needs. This strategy does at the same time serve to boost local talent and facilitate a better work-life balance for its employees, who have a hybrid model split between remote working and on-site work.

Leading world  centres
Behind the choice of Granada for the company’s new headquarters is the collaborations that NTT Data has formed with educational institutions, such as the University of Granada, one of the world's leading centres in computer science and artificial intelligence. The consultancy firm is boosting innovation in the city by launching a “public sector data hub” from which it will develop artificial intelligence, data governance and advanced analytics capabilities in the cloud, adapted to EU public sector policies.

2,700 professionals currently work at NTT Data's five offices in Andalusia, where it has been providing support in digitisation, digital transformation and consultancy to public and private companies for over 20 years. Most of its projects in this region relate to the public, health, financial and industrial sectors. The company’s figures throughout Spain amount to 30 offices and more than 20,000 employees.

Commitment to growth
Head of NTT Data in Andalusia, the Canary Islands and Extremadura, José Ángel Pérez, explained, “The University of Granada's status as a major provider of talent is one of the reasons for our commitment to growth in the province”. He added, “It is clear to us that our greatest asset is our people, which is why our priority is to attract and develop the best professionals and people in our industry, regardless of where they are located or where they want to work from”.
