Ikos chain invests 110 million in Majorca luxury hotel

It has acquired the Blau Porto Petro de Mallorca which will reopen in April 2023

The Greek chain Iko Resorts has announced the purchase of the Blau Porto Petro hotel in Majorca, its second acquisition in Spain.  The hotel chain plans to invest 110 million euros to reopen as Ikos Porto Pedro in April 2023, after undergoing a wholesale renovation of its facilities. The aim is to become an 5 Star All-Inclusive Grand Luxe resort. Ikos Porto Petro will have 319 rooms, with terraces and private pools on the seafront. The company also plans to enlarge the hotel in 2024 to include 115 new rooms, making a total of 434. The hotel will have Ikos Infinite Lifestyle services and premium gastronomy consisting of restaurants with menus designed by Michelin-starred chefs, a wine list of over 300 wines, the Anne Semonin Paris spa and a sports area with over 10,000 square metres.

Last July the hotel chain opened Ikos Andalusia, a 411-room complex in which it has invested 180 million euros. According to Luis Herault, CEO of Ikos Iberia, the new property in Majorca reinforces the company's commitment to the international market, in line with its "ambitious" expansion project. The company has six all-inclusive luxury resorts, four of which are in Greece, and it is working on its expansion plan in Spain and Portugal.
