Grants for investment
These are annual calls divided into three large blocks depending on the type of company: grants for industrial SMEs, grants for agrifood industries and grants for large companies. In the 2017 calls the highest grant scope was 30% for industrial SMEs, 10% for large companies with a cap of € 0.5M and 28% for agrifood industries with a cap of € 2M per productive plant.
Grants for R&D
Grants for R & D projects: Non-repayable grants for R & D projects that can reach up to 80% of the project's expenses. There are also grants for the hiring of technologists, technology centers and consultants for application to European calls. There are calls every year.
There are also other grants such as grants for training schemes with commitment to recruit, Activa Industry 4.0 grants for the digital transformation, subsidies for the internship hiring of unemployed people under 30 years of age or grants for hiring people with disabilities among others.
In addition to the subsidies, it is important to highlight that Navarra's own tax regime bolsters productive investments as well as R & D. Therefore, investment in new fixed assets has a 10% deduction in corporate tax. In the case of R & D expenses, the deduction reaches 40%. The hiring of personnel also has a deduction of € 5,000 per person hired.
