The International Forum on Biomedicine (IFB), organized by the Shenzhen Huaya Regional Economic Development Service Center, Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health and International Biomedical Society, is aimed at creating a vehicle for global resources, focusing on the introduction of highly-qualified talent, the exchange between academia and professionals and a platform of professional services for industrial cooperation and the promotion of investment, all with the purpose of driving technological innovation in the field of biomedicine in Shenzhen, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and for the development of the Chinese medical industry. In addition to the event's main forum, there are parallel sub-forums that focus on different topics, with projects showcased and signed and which are open to online participation.

The forum invited more than 500 government representatives, industry companies, universities and academia, hospitals, financial investment circles, laboratory research and development institutions and industry service providers to participate. Forum participants come from different areas, such as the industry of life and health, medical biotechnology, traditional Chinese medicine, medical instruments and laboratory equipment, general health and online medical treatment, artificial intelligence, chemical medicine, new materials, financial investment and international consulting services, among others.
