Intellias opens first Spanish office in Malaga

The Ukrainian company plans to achieve a local workforce of 150 employees by 2024

The Ukrainian company Intellias, which specialises in enabling technology for large companies, has launched its business in the Spanish market, which will be managed and coordinated from the office it has set up in Malaga. The headquarters, located in the Monday coworking space, is a large open area complemented by meeting rooms and breakout areas. Employees do in addition have access to other common spaces and can work remotely if they prefer.

Intellias CEO and co-founder Vitaly Sedler explained that the decision to enter the Spanish market is part of the company's globalisation business strategy. To operate the headquarters, the company plans to staff the facility with a team of IT experts which will reach 150 people by 2024, including local employees and workers who have relocated from other countries.

Financial services
With two decades of experience, the technology company is currently engaged in a process of sustainable acceleration in terms of digitising its customers' businesses. According to the plans revealed during the launch of its Malaga office, the strategic sector of financial services will be the Spanish subsidiary’s main priority.

To address its objectives, Intellias wants to attract a diverse team, with talents that allow them to manage their working time, engage in professional growth and forge a career path. From the Costa del Sol office, they will be able to develop new skills, become mentors and even participate as speakers at international events.

The subsidiary is currently recruiting for Scala, Java, DevOps and AQA engineers. In addition, it plans to collaborate closely with local associations, communities and universities.

Future growth
On the reason for opening the office, Sedler explained, “Malaga has a well-developed IT market and a world-renowned quality of life. We consider it to be one of the most vibrant and rapidly developing digital scenes in Europe, capable of attracting technology experts and major technology companies from all over the world. By collaborating closely with Spanish IT experts, educational institutions and IT centres, we plan to build a world-class team of engineers to join our efforts to digitise the world.”

The company's Site Manager in Spain, Olha Mozzhakova, added, “We know that the post-pandemic world has shifted towards greater flexibility and work-life balance. That's why Intellias has opted for this strategic collaboration with Monday Coworking Spaces which, in addition to having its own space in Malaga, offers the company large working environments in Madrid and Barcelona. This large coverage will support our growth in 2023 and 2024.”

The Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, describes Intellias as “a world leader in IT solutions for the automotive, transport, financial services, telecommunications, agriculture, retail and e-commerce sectors”, and is convinced that “it will contribute to Malaga's innovative ecosystem by creating new jobs, sharing its professional expertise and growing in our city”.
