NTT Data opens new office in Malaga old town

It will be the headquarters for over 250 employees of the Japanese company, with this figure rising to 400 in 2023

The Japanese multinational company NTT Data, which specialises in IT services, has opened its new offices in the old town of Malaga, in calle Puerta del Mar. In line with its commitment to remote working, the headquarters has capacity for 80 employees, despite the company having 250 workers in the province, and with plans to increase this figure by another 150 to 400 in 2023.

The office has a surface area of 600 square metres, which can be extended should this be necessary in the future. The installations are technologically advanced and designed to accommodate the highly qualified professionals that work for the company. There is also space to hold events and meetings.

High strategic value
The model implemented by NTT Data is based on flexible, digital and responsible working. Although remote working is the main mode of working, employees can go into the offices whenever they need to. The company believe that this is one of the reasons why they have been chosen as the top employer in Spain and in other countries. Furthermore, it has been selected by the network LinkedIn for the second year running as the best company to work for in Spain.

The multinational has a leading role in driving science and technology careers. One hundred and fifty new professionals will be recruited in Malaga next year, becoming part of the national and international technology projects of high strategic value that are being carried out in this Andalusian city in areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, IoT and solutions.

Increasing the workforce
NTT Data has had a presence in Andalusia for over twenty years. The company currently has over 2,200 employees in the region, a figure that is expected to rise to 2,500 by the end of 2023. Most of the projects underway in the community are related to the public sectors, health, finance and industry. One of the most notable ones is the European Medicine Agency’s Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS).

The company's Managing Partner in Andalusia, José Ángel Pérez, stressed that Malaga has become “the technological hub for the south of Europe” over the past few years, affirming that “with this new office we want to continue on our path of growth and creating new jobs in the city of Malaga by means of disruptive international projects with a social impact”.
