Veriff, an industry leader in online identity verification, announced significant momentum following the launch of its tech hub in Barcelona a year ago. Now one year later, the company is opening its own office in Diagonal 123. With more than 50 hires during the first year, Barcelona has become the second-largest office for Veriff after its headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia.

Our goal was to find product, design and engineering talent from Barcelona, and we’ve definitely succeeded,” said Janer Gorohhov, CPO and co-founder of Veriff. ”We’ve been able to build a great tech hub focusing on product development to make the online world a safer place”.

Among the 50 recruits, Veriff has people from 20 different nationalities, with most of the talent working in product and engineering but also in HR, design, and other areas. Additionally, the company has expanded its verification team to Barcelona to support the launch of Arabic language documents in collaboration with Asociación Kudwa, Spain’s largest Arabic-speaking migrant community.

The new office is located on the 9th and 10th floor of Diagonal 123 and it will have a surface of more than 1200 square meters. This space continues to support the growth and the company’s plans and serves as a hub for all of Veriff’s employees worldwide. “22@ has become a well-known tech hub attracting companies and talent from all over the world. Since the company’s latest $100M C-round investment in January, Veriff has joined the list of global tech unicorns operating in Barcelona. The financing accelerates Veriff’s global growth and investment in R&D, especially to advance product expansion.
