Globant opens new innovation centre in Malaga

This is the company’s second office in the city and the sixth in Spain, and recruitment is currently underway for most of them

The Argentinian company Globant, which focuses on reinventing business through innovative technological solutions, has opened a new innovation centre in Malaga, its second office in the Andalusian city. The company, which describes itself as a digital native, first arrived at the Polo Nacional de Contenidos Digitales [National Digital Content Hub] in Malaga two years ago, and is now strengthening its commitment to the city with a second location.

The new headquarters, located on the Muelle Uno promenade at the heart of the port, will focus on developing disruptive solutions for its customers around the world. It will use tools like artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, and will have specialised teams working on projects in sectors such as fintech and gaming. The company currently has vacancies for those interested in working at one of its locations.

Turning point
With the new location, Globant now has six offices in Spain, two of them in the capital of the Costa del Sol and the others in Madrid, Barcelona and Logroño. In total, it has a presence in 25 countries across five continents, employs over 27,000 people and provides services to companies like Google, Electronic Arts and Santander.

Luis Ureta, the company's Head of Southern Europe, praised the city at the opening ceremony on 23 March,,, “Malaga has been a turning point for Globant’s development in Spain and Europe and we're proud to be part of this comprehensive ecosystem that offers a vibrant strategy with a focus on innovation, talent and sustainable growth.”

Strategic value
The secret of Globant's success lies in convincing companies of the need to realise the full potential of new technologies to create strategic value, maximise productivity, optimise their market adaptation, innovate with new digital products and even improve their relationships with their employees.

Globant's Chief Business Officer for Europe, Fernando Matzkin, talks about how the new office can drive the company's growth, “Opening this new office boosts our commitment to Spain and reinforces our expansion in the European market. After two years developing technological solutions for a multitude of companies from Malaga, and actively collaborating with local talent together with the University of Malaga, our new headquarters will allow us to respond to the needs of organisations working on the digital evolution of their business from anywhere in the world.”
