Lanserhof chooses Marbella to Open First Luxury Clinic in Southern Europe

It is set to invest 100 million euros in a 24,000 square metre resort with 70 rooms
The Lanserhof Group has signed an agreement with the asset management company AltamarCAM Partners and the real estate investment group Inbest-GPF, both with Spanish capital, to open the first spa by the German brand in southern Europe. The planned investment totals 100 million euros and construction will begin in mid-2024 with the aim of opening in 2026.
The centre will be located on the Cortesín estate, near Marbella. The complex, which currently houses a hotel and a golf course, will be joined by the Lanserhof Clinic, which will occupy a new building that the developers say will meet the highest standards of sustainability.
State-of-the-art equipment
The new resort will cover an area of 24,000 square metres and will feature 70 rooms and suites, as well as medical facilities, state-of-the-art equipment and related services. The company currently operates three similar health resorts in Lans (Austria), Tegernsee and Sylt (Germany), as well as day resorts in London and Hamburg.
Lanserhof's 35-year-old holistic health centres combine naturopathy and medicine and present themselves as a “meeting place for people from all over the world”. Its approach, which also focuses on prevention and health regeneration, saw it being named the “World's Best Medical Spa” in 2022 for the eighth consecutive year.
Enlargement plans
Lanserhof Group CEO Christian Harisch talked about the company's expansion plans from the north to the south of the continent, with the recent opening of the Sylt site, “We are delighted to now have a presence in Southern Europe. This is an exciting time for the Lanserhof Group as we strive to expand our offering and provide more people with access to our world-class health services. The Lanserhof Group looks forward to working with AltamarCAM and GPF Capital to expand its expertise across Europe.”
AltamarCAM's co-head of real estate assets, Fernando Olaso, added, “We are delighted to support the Lanserhof Group, a world leader in innovative medicine, in its expansion plan. The new resort will have a significant positive impact on the local economy and will help to improve the international image of the Costa del Sol and what it has to offer.”
