PwC recruits 1,500 employees in Spain for second year running

The firm plans to close 2024 with a total of 1,528 new hires, including 665 recent graduates.
The consulting firm PwC plans to end this year with 1,528 new employees. With this figure, it will exceed 1,500 new hires for the second year running. The new employees recruited between 1 January and 31 December include 864 experienced professionals, with the other 665 being recent graduates.
The new recruits are spread across all of the British company's business lines in Spain: 626 people in auditing, 379 in consulting, 340 in legal and tax matters and 183 in transactions. Experienced professionals are primarily involved in auditing, risk management, tax and legal advisory services, sustainability, cybersecurity, digital transformation and strategy, generative AI, cloud solutions, automation and robotisation, and data analytics.
Business dynamics in today's environment
According to PwC, those professionals who are joining the company with previous experience combine technical skills with a solid understanding of business needs and business dynamics in today's environment. They also bring technological capabilities to generate value-added solutions that drive growth, productivity, efficiency and trust.
The recent graduates that the company is seeking to attract do for their part have profiles with a solid academic background, combining business and technology knowledge. These include holders of bachelor’s degrees, dual degrees and master’s degrees in the field of business (business administration, economics, finance and accounting, law and business analytics). Others have STEM backgrounds, coming from all kinds of engineering backgrounds, from computer science to telecommunications and industrial engineering, and other degrees, such as mathematics, physics and statistics.
Commitment to talent and job creation
The President of PwC Spain, Gonzalo Sánchez, says that the recruitment of new employees is “an unequivocal sign of our commitment to talent and job creation”, also adding, “These new hires will have the opportunity to join our Work Academy programme. This is a pioneering project in Spain, which we launched last year, and which makes it possible for our employees to accredit their professional experience at the firm with two university diplomas and a certified master's degree.”
More specifically, PwC's corporate training centre in El Escorial was the venue chosen to hold a welcome ceremony for the new employees who have joined the firm’s workforce this year (in the picture, Gonzalo Sánchez poses in front of them during the event).
In addition to recruiting new employees, PwC has promoted 943 professionals this year, a record number for the company. It has also appointed 27 new partners across all its business lines: auditing, consulting, tax and legal matters and transactions.
