Toyota Material Handling strengthens operational capacity in Spain

It promotes innovation, sustainability and quality and is renovating its Seville, Valladolid and Sabadell offices.
Toyota Material Handling España, which specialises in solutions to optimise its customers' logistics, is strengthening its operational capacity in Spain. It has therefore completed the construction of the new building that will house its branch in Seville. The approach, similar to that which has been implemented in recent months at its Valladolid branch and at its head office in Sabadell (Barcelona), aims to strengthen its customer service and care capacity.
The company's investment strategy at this stage has focused on strengthening its commitment to innovation, sustainability and quality. It also aims to respond to demand and bring its customers closer to a range of products and solutions for industrial use, both for sale and rental, streamlining load movements and incorporating the latest advances in automation and connectivity.
Exponential growth
The new building measures 1,200 square metres, spread over two floors, and has been designed to significantly improve operational capacity. The ground floor houses the reception and exhibition space, and the upper floor has 350 square metres of office space. There is also 850 square metres allocated to after-sales, the workshop and spare parts.
Following the model utilised in Valladolid and Sabadell, which has led to exponential growth at both sites, the warehouse incorporates Toyota Material Handling's principles of innovation and sustainability. Its goal is to achieve zero emissions across all its operations by 2041. To achieve this, the new building is equipped with waste management and energy efficiency systems, such as LED lighting, ventilation by means of wind turbines and solar thermal panels.
Job creation
Toyota Material Handling España is part of the Toyota Material Handling Europe Group, which does in turn belong to the Japanese Toyota Industries Corporation. Through this operation, the Spanish subsidiary also aims to contribute to local economic development, in this case by creating jobs and investing in modern infrastructure.
Managing Director of Toyota Material Handling España, Joan Catalan, explained, "Sabadell, Valladolid and now Seville are tangible examples of our strategic growth and long-term vision. At each of these locations, we are demonstrating our hallmarks: innovation, quality, continuous improvement and respect for the environment. From this new location we are embarking on an exciting journey in the Andalusian capital of Seville.”
