Colliers to open first EMEA technology hub in Spain
The consultancy firm has already launched the process to select its first professionals.
Real estate consultancy Colliers has announced that it has chosen Madrid as the location for its first technology centre for the EMEA region. This new tech hub is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the Canadian company’s forecasts. From this new platform, it will offer its clients differential value and will provide them with new top-level digital tools to enhance their capabilities.
The Madrid-based technology centre aims to be a benchmark of excellence in terms of highly qualified talent. To do this, the consultancy firm will especially select professionals trained in developing technology and creating digital services. It is these services that should help the company’s clients make smarter, more agile decisions and identify the best opportunities in the real estate market.
Strategic location and financial advantages
The company’s Global Head of Software Engineering, Christian Reitz, will head this new technology centre, having been involved in defining the strategic and operational approach for this initiative. According to Colliers, the choice of Madrid over the many European cities that were initially considered is due to its strategic location, ability to attract talent, financial advantages and strong alignment with the consultancy firm’s long-term objectives.
Colliers’ Global Chief Information Officer Stuart McDonald said his company invests “in technology that brings insight and agility to our clients”, adding, “Madrid is the perfect place in which to do this. There is great talent available here, and we are excited about launching this new tech hub and building a team that will help define the future of Colliers’ services.”
Highly qualified talent
The President and CEO of Colliers España, Mikel Echavarren, explained, “The technology centre in Madrid represents a firm step forward in our innovation and growth strategy. Madrid offers an ecosystem of highly qualified talent that will be key to developing technological solutions with a real impact on the market. This initiative reinforces our commitment to operational excellence and offers a unique opportunity to be part of a transformational process that will define the future of the real estate industry.
For the time being, the consultancy has already launched a recruitment programme to select the first professionals, and will continue to increase its workforce as its needs evolve.
