Logicor builds new Spanish logistics centre for Solo Midocean

The 28,000-square-metre facility will be dedicated to textile printing and will generate over 250 jobs.
UK developer Logicor has started construction of a bespoke logistics centre for Solo Midocean, a Dutch manufacturer and distributor of personalised promotional products. Located in Bràfim (Tarragona), in Barcelona's second logistics ring, it will have a surface area of 28,000 square metres and will be directly connected to the AP-2 motorway.
The company will only move its operations to its new facilities in Spain upon completion of the work, expected in the second quarter of 2026. The project developed by Logicor will allow its owner to increase its production capacity throughout the country. The centre’s operations will create over 250 jobs.
Tailor-made construction
The plot on which the new centre is to be built covers an area of more than 44,000 square metres. The built-to-suit (BTS) facility has been custom-designed to meet all of Solo's production needs. It will incorporate the highest current sustainability and safety standards, with BREEAM Excellent certification, rainwater tanks to reuse rainwater, a LED lighting system, 12 charging points for electric vehicles and a bicycle parking area. It will also be equipped with rooftop solar panels with a total generation capacity of 900 KWp.
Solo General Manager Mohammed Mohammed said the facility “not only represents an investment in infrastructure, but also a deep commitment to the people of Catalonia. We are pleased to announce that we will start employing 250 talented people in 2026. This figure represents almost 40% of the population of Bràfim, emphasising our commitment to boosting the local economy and fostering community growth.”
Textile prints
As Mohammed pointed out, “The facility will specialise in textile printing, using techniques favoured by customers, such as screen printing, transfer printing and embroidery”.
Logicor's Country Manager for Spain, Pilar Valencia, did in turn assert that Catalonia is “one of our strategic locations for 2025. It saw a record logistics occupancy of over 710,000 square metres in 2024, significantly higher than the average for the last decade.”
On the subject of design, Valencia explained, “Thanks to the excellent coordination between the various technical teams involved and our in-depth knowledge of our clients' needs, we are developing a building fully adapted to Industry 4.0 that will house high value-added activities with a tangible impact on the regional economy”.
