Match Hospitality to become Madrid Formula 1 Grand Prix partner

The company will invest 400 million euros to take care of hospitality and VIP areas.
Swiss company Match Hospitality, which specialises in managing hospitality programmes at sporting events around the world, has joined Ifema as a partner for the Formula 1 Grand Prix to be held in Madrid for ten years, between 2026 and 2035. As it currently does for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix and the MotoGP British Grand Prix, among others, it will design the products and experiences and exclusively operate the VIP areas and hospitality at the championship.
The company has announced that it has partnered with Ifema Madrid “to develop and deliver the official hospitality for the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix, which will return to Madrid in 2026 after more than four decades. Ifema Madrid is an exceptional racing destination for F1 fans from around the world, and we look forward to bringing world-class sporting hospitality to this highly-anticipated event.”
Ten-year agreement
As a partner of the championship and responsible for hospitality, Match Hospitality will bring its expertise in providing services at the world's major sporting events. According to the collaboration agreement between the two bodies, which has been revealed by Ifema, the Swiss company will invest 400 million euros over ten years to construct, assemble, operate and handle the marketing of the areas under its responsibility.
As part of the agreement, Match Hospitality will decide on the hospitality strategy and products to be available at the sporting event. It will also be responsible for marketing the various packages and experiences, which includes creating premium spaces and services, such as catering and access to exclusive areas.
Spanish Grand Prix
The Spanish F1 Grand Prix will return to Madrid in 2026 and will be held in the city until at least 2035. As Ifema itself explains, the arguments that helped Ifema to win this contract included its proven capacity to host major world events, its organisational flexibility, its financial solvency and the versatility, equipment and location of its venues.
In line with F1's sustainability, diversity and inclusion policy, the Madrid championship will meet the competition's sustainability requirements and will be carbon neutral. Well connected by public transport and five minutes from the airport via the suburban rail network, it is estimated that up to 90% of fans will be able to access the Grand Prix by metro, suburban train or city bus.
