Spain Quantum Industry Report 2023
AMETIC
AMETIC, the Multisectorial Association of Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies, Telecommunications and Digital Content Companies, in its firm commitment to the most disruptive technologies, has created the Quantum Information, Computing and Cybersecurity Working Group, in charge of preparing a report on the capabilities that our country provides in this area. The text aims to carry out an analysis of the ecosystem already existing in Spain, a country committed to digitization and new technologies and aligned with the EU's digital transformation objective. In addition, with the ambition of becoming a quantum node in Southern Europe, the Quantum Spain project will install the first quantum computer for public use in Southern Europe at the BSC- Barcelona Supercomputing Centre. The capabilities of this new infrastructure will be added to those of the Spanish Supercomputing Network and those of our Universities and Research Centers, putting it at the service of the research community, companies and public bodies in order to boost research and innovation.
