In its seventh edition, the report confirms that the internationalization of Latin American capital continues to advance on a large scale. In 2024, FDI issued from the region reached US$53.03 billion, with Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia concentrating the bulk of investments. This expansion maintains a sustained geographic projection and takes increasingly diverse forms, reflecting a structural transformation that goes beyond the traditional lead role of large multilatinas. A new element is the incorporation of the GLOBAL LATAM Multilatinas Index (IGLM), which uses its own methodology to evaluate the degree of internationalization of Latin American companies. Spain is consolidating its position as the second extra-regional destination for these investments and as a strategic entry point to Europe, thanks to its cultural affinity, its stable environment and its role as a natural platform for international expansion.
