On 18 and 19 May, ICEX-Invest in Spain attended the annual congress of the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) held in the city of Cork (Ireland). This event was the first one held in person after the COVID-19 pandemic. It was attended by a large and varied audience that included local politicians, such as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, founders and representatives of science and technology startups and numerous investors, mainly business angels, but also several representatives of venture capital funds.

The Spanish delegation was made up of six startups that were previously selected by EBAN and which stood out due to their innovative technology and advanced business models:

Wohee: B2B Saas offering a crypto-based loyalty programme for e-commerce. http://wohee.eu/

Feeder: Startup created to help marketers and content creators get feedback on their campaigns before launching them onto the market, this being achieved by measuring users’ reactions and emotions by using a facial recognition system. https://www.getfeeder.com

Streamion: Ad server for streaming and VOD channels that integrates streaming advertising without the need for cuts, allowing streamers to monetise their content and give visibility to brands. https://streamion.io/

Kiota: Platform that allows for faster and easier consultation of different databases so that investors can analyse startups and entrepreneurial teams, optimising the investment decision. https://www.kiota.com/

Codee: Automates code inspection from a performance perspective, which is clearly a great benefit for industries where code is mission and business critical, such as aerospace, automotive, telecommunications and semiconductors. https://www.codee.com/

Hovering Solutions: Autonomous drones that fly underground without a pilot, GPS (GNSS), radio communication or light, creating highly detailed 3D digital models of underground infrastructure quickly, accurately and safely. https://hoveringsolutions.com

The Spanish startups made their presentations to those attending the event and obtained numerous meetings with investors that ICEX-Invest in Spain hopes to see some results from in the coming months.
