Mapei Opens Office in Valencia to Communicate with Customers

The Italian concrete manufacturer has three plants and two distribution centres in Spain

Concrete manufacturer Mapei has opened an office in Valencia, which it describes as “a valuable means of direct communication with all types of specifiers and professionals in the construction industry”. The Italian manufacturer has been present in the Spanish market since 1991 and has a wide range of 5,000 products, including adhesives, sealants and chemical products for the construction industry.

The new office, located at number 4 on Calle Ramón Asensio in Valencia, is an important step in the evolution and establishment of Mapei in Spain. Andreas Fleischhauer, General Manager of Mapei Spain, explained, “Following the launch of the Mapei Cube System, an innovative technology for the production of concrete with a low carbon footprint, we are proud to announce the opening of our new office in Valencia, with the main objective of being closer to our customers in such an important region for the construction industry.”

International presence
Mapei was founded in Milan in 1937 and currently employs 10,500 people, 12% of whom work in one of its 31 R&D centres in twenty countries. The company also has 83 factories in 36 countries and 90 subsidiaries in 57 countries. Every day it delivers around 25,000 tonnes of its products to around 70,000 customers.

The Group has three production plants in Spain, located in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda (Barcelona), Amposta (Tarragona) and Cabanillas del Campo (Guadalajara). It also has distribution centres in Onda (Castellón) and Palma de Mallorca. In total, it employs around 170 people in our country.

Decarbonising construction
The Cube System developed by Mapei, based on robustness and improved performance, aims to promote the transition from the cements currently used to others that can contribute to the decarbonisation of the construction industry, and without losing their properties, especially in terms of strength and durability.

In addition to disseminating this system for achieving environmental sustainability in the sector in training courses throughout Spain, Mapei actively collaborates in various university studies and research projects, as well as in other training courses organised in collaboration with professional colleges, universities and construction industry associations.
