F1 Arcade signs first international franchise agreement in Spain

Top Racing Iberia to open first Madrid location in the next 12 months.

F1 Arcade entertainment spaces now have a date for their first opening in Spain. This will take place at the end of 2026 in Madrid. The British company’s proposal consists of immersive Formula 1 experiences, and its arrival in Spain and subsequent expansion to Portugal will be the result of the first international franchise agreement that F1 Arcade has signed worldwide.

Top Racing Iberia will be the franchisor that will launch this new phase to host the first official “Formula 1 hospitality” concept. The deal is key to F1 Arcade’s overall growth strategy. The two partners share confidence in their international growth potential, as Formula 1 racing continues to expand its audience base around the world.

A unique entertainment experience
Top Racing Iberia’s experience in developing other franchises at an international level has played an important role in the choice of Top Racing Iberia to promote this entertainment project. Its CEO, Pablo Juantegui, led the international expansion of the Telepizza group, both its IPO and its digital transformation, and consolidated it as the largest Pizza Hut franchise in the world.

On this new stage, Juantegui said, “Entering the F1 Arcade universe is much more than a business decision: it is an exciting opportunity to bring a unique entertainment experience to Spain and Portugal. This partnership links us to an international benchmark brand and inspires us to start a new stage in experiential leisure.”

The potential of the Iberian Peninsula
F1 Arcade’s Global President, Jonathan Peters, explained, “Signing this master franchise agreement represents a milestone in our international expansion plan. We strongly believe in the potential of the Iberian peninsula, a region with a strong passion for Formula 1 and home to the Spanish Grand Prix. We are convinced that Pablo and the Top Racing Iberia team are the right partners to take the F1 Arcade brand beyond the UK and US.”

Launched in 2022, F1 Arcade has locations in the UK and the US, and plans to continue its international expansion process until 2027. In line with this, it closed a $130-million financing round in July 2024, led by Cheyne Capital, and with participation from Liberty Media Corporation, Permira Credit and OakNorth.

Each venue has over 60 state-of-the-art, full-motion racing simulators, plus other game modes tailored to all ages and skill levels. Designed for all audiences, it also aims to be a meeting point for fans to watch the Grand Prix live.
