Grant Thornton strengthens Spanish team: 352 new professionals join this year
The US consulting firm expands its capabilities across all service lines.
Professional services firm Grant Thornton continues to grow in Spain, and one of the key aspects of this growth is job creation. So far this year, the US company has already hired 352 new professionals across its Spanish offices. This supports its sustained growth and expands its capabilities across all service lines to strengthen its position in the domestic market.
As part of this growth, the firm has committed to gender parity in recruitment, in line with its commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and the creation of inclusive and collaborative environments. Currently, 50.3% of the workforce are women and 49.7% are men.
Reinforced areas
The new professionals who have joined this year have reinforced several service lines and support areas, primarily Audit and Assurance (accounting and financial auditing), which accounts for 41% of the total, reflecting the continued growth in demand for this service in the market. This is followed by Business Solutions-Outsourcing (business processes and subcontracting) and legal areas (tax, legal and labour), each accounting for 18%, and Advisory (advice and consulting), accounting for 16%.
The growth of the Spanish subsidiary also coincides with its recent accession to the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform. The company believes that this milestone will open up a new era of professional opportunities and development for its professionals, who will have access to a global ecosystem of resources, advanced technology and multidisciplinary services.
The best talent on the market
Grant Thornton's director of people & culture, Pablo González-Costea, said that the consultancy “continues to demonstrate its ability to attract the best talent on the market, thanks to an ambitious employer branding programme that we are developing at the country's leading universities”. He added, “We are a firm where people feel listened to, valued and have the opportunity to build a challenging, diverse and long-term professional career.”
Grant Thornton Chairman Ramón Galcerán, for his part, believes that human capital is “undoubtedly our most valuable asset, where the real differential value lies in people working with people,” and explained, "Each new hire represents a commitment to the future and a sign of the trust we place in talent. I am particularly excited about the new phase we are embarking on with our membership of Grant Thornton Advisors, which opens up a horizon of extraordinary opportunities for all our professionals, in all categories and areas of specialisation."
