Jet2 connects UK with Cadiz via four new air routes

With three flights a week this year, it plans to reach frequencies of seven flights a week during the 2026 summer season.

Low-cost airline Jet2 has chosen Jerez de la Frontera airport (Cádiz) as a new destination for tourists travelling to Spain from the United Kingdom. A new route from Birmingham has been launched, which is accompanied by two other routes from Manchester and Leeds Bradford airports. The fourth connection, to London Stansted Airport, will be launched by summer 2026.

The British airline is joined in this initiative by another company in the group, the tour operator Jet2holidays, which describes the Costa de la Luz as an impressive region and predicts that the flights will be very popular. Flights from Birmingham, operating once a week, will arrive on Fridays until 31 October. For the following season, from 1 May to 30 October 2026, services will be extended to two flights a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

Flight scheduling
Flights from Manchester will also operate once a week this year, every Saturday until 1 November. Next year, the frequency will be increased to two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 2 May to 31 October. Flights from Leeds Bradford airport, operating once a week on Tuesdays until 28 October, will move to Sundays during the 2026 season, from 3 May to 1 November.

The fourth airport will join the Jet2 and Jet2holidays offering for the summer of 2026, during the season running from 1 May to 30 October, and will operate two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, between London Stansted Airport and Jerez International Airport.

Authentic culture
The two companies propose the Costa de la Luz as an “ideal destination for a holiday in the sun. This unspoilt corner of Spain offers long sandy beaches and rich Andalusian history, steeped in authentic culture. Famous for its lively markets, stunning architecture and lush green landscape, the Costa de la Luz is also known for its Mediterranean climate, exciting excursions and world-class golf courses.”

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO Steve Heapy lauded this route and another route that has opened with Croatia, “As we begin our biggest summer programme to date, we are delighted to see our inaugural flights to Jerez and Pula take off. We are already looking forward to releasing our full Summer 2025 programme so that our customers can explore these two new destinations. Ever since these two new routes went on sale, customers and independent travel agents have been booking breaks to these stunning regions in large numbers. With miles of golden sand and a rich culture to discover, we offer tourists numerous opportunities to escape to both these new destinations, this summer and next.”
