Zoho opens southern Europe Valencia operations centre
In its five years in the city, the Indian company has increased its workforce more than fortyfold.
Zoho, the technology company specialising in cloud-based business solutions, has inaugurated its new headquarters in Valencia, consolidating the city as its strategic operations centre for southern Europe. Located in the city centre, the office has more than 1,000 square metres of floor space and capacity for more than 100 employees.
In addition to boosting its investment in Spain, the launch of the new facilities marks a new milestone in the company's national and international expansion, which has a sustainable and decentralised growth model. This strategy, known as transnational localism, aims to promote the development of self-sufficient local economies through direct investment, training and the creation of quality digital and technological jobs.
Job creation
With 20 years of experience in Spain, Zoho established itself in Valencia in 2021 and has experienced continuous double-digit growth since then. During this period, it has increased its local workforce more than fortyfold and its business has grown by 70%. It currently supports more than 12,000 Spanish companies and public institutions, as well as customers in Portugal, Italy and Greece.
Zoho Managing Director in Europe Sridhar Iyengar explained, “This new headquarters reflects how our commitment to sustainable, decentralised growth alongside our customers can bear fruit. Over the last five years, Zoho has grown by 70% in Spain, driven by the trust of our customers and the talent of our local teams.”
He emphasised his commitment “to cities with a strong spirit of innovation and a high quality of life, where people can develop professionally without having to leave. Valencia represents exactly those values and has become a strategic location for our operations in southern Europe. We are delighted to continue growing here and to contribute to the technological and business ecosystem of the Valencian Community.’
Training and support
The Indian company actively collaborates with associations and organisations that promote digitisation and innovation in Spain, such as Aslan, the chambers of commerce of Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona, and the Lanzadera accelerator. Among other initiatives, it offers training, technology credits and support to new companies through the Zoho for Startups programme.
Zoho's suite offers more than 55 applications covering almost all key business areas, from sales and marketing to customer service, accounting and administrative operations, as well as a wide range of productivity and collaboration solutions.
Savills helped the technology company find the location for its new headquarters. Regarding this operation, the director of the real estate consultancy in Valencia, Ignacio Olivas, said, “Many companies are discovering the potential of this city as a digital hub. They come from all over the world and what they have in common is that they are growing companies. Consolidating Valencia as a destination for this type of company requires investment in a high-quality, innovative and sustainable office market.”
