The start of B10 production marks a significant milestone in the Chinese manufacturer's localisation strategy.

Chinese carmaker Leapmotor has used the Paris Motor Show to announce the next steps in its European growth strategy and showcase its range of vehicles for the continental market.

The most significant announcement was the confirmation that production of the B10 has officially begun in Spain, specifically at the Stellantis plant in Figueruelas (Zaragoza), which therefore becomes its first European manufacturing plant. This milestone reflects the manufacturer’s long-term commitment to Europe.

The role of innovation
At the Paris trade fair, Leapmotor International’s chief executive, Danilo Annese, outlined the company’s strategic vision for its next phase of growth, which includes its local manufacturing plans and also emphasises the role of innovation and customer-focused mobility solutions in improving Leapmotor’s position in Europe.

The B10 is an all-electric bestseller that officially launches a production line developed by Leapmotor International, a joint venture established by Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor and Stellantis. This initiative draws on the European manufacturer’s industrial expertise and its presence in the manufacturing sector. The vehicles produced in Zaragoza will be destined specifically for the European market.

A local approach for the local market
The start of B10 production marks a significant milestone in Leapmotor’s localisation strategy, not only bringing manufacturing closer to customers but also enabling a truly local approach to serving the local market.

By manufacturing vehicles in Europe for European customers, Leapmotor consolidates its presence on the continent, responds more effectively to local market needs and builds customer confidence.
