Quantexa opens new Málaga innovation centre
The British company is stepping up its investment to meet growing demand for sovereign AI and data management capabilities.
British company Quantexa, which specialises in data analytics and artificial intelligence software, has decided to increase its investment in Málaga by opening a new innovation centre. From its new premises, it will seek to meet the growing demand for sovereign AI and data management capabilities.
The new centre will be the first to move into the Node I innovation centre, developed by Kadans Science Partner at Málaga TechPark. The research and development capabilities and professional services it will offer clients will support the rollout of Quantexa’s decision intelligence platform across Europe.
European expansion
Quantexa first established itself in Málaga four years ago when, following a thorough evaluation process covering 21 European countries, it chose the city as the location for its Technology and Analytics Centre. The opening of this new centre consolidates Quantexa's commitment to the Andalusian city, and marks a new phase in its European expansion and investment in AI, data and analytics innovation.
When it chose Málaga in 2022, the firm assessed factors such as specialist talent in data and analytics, the academic ecosystem and the growing concentration of international technology companies. Now, according to the company, those attributes have become even more important as it broadens its focus on AI and its own decision intelligence technology.
Connected, contextual information
Drawing on the latest advances in AI, Quantexa’s decision intelligence platform transforms isolated data into connected, contextual information, driving the transition from a data-driven organisation to a decision-centric one.
The new office will form part of the company’s network of AI innovation centres, developing technologies that enable public and private organisations to connect complex data, build reliable context and apply AI to make better-informed operational decisions.
Quantexa Regional Site Lead Flavio Costa recalls how “Four years ago, we chose Málaga following an extensive search across Europe.” That decision, he adds, “has given us a solid foundation for growth. Investment in this new innovation centre marks the next stage of that journey: creating an environment where our team can push the boundaries of AI and decision intelligence, and collaborate even more closely with clients and partners to continue developing world-class technology from Málaga for organisations across Europe and the rest of the world”.
