Three companies share nearly 24,000 square metres of logistics and industrial space 4 kilometres from the city.

Logistics real estate company VGP has fully let its latest building, located 4 kilometres from the city of Alicante, practically as soon as construction was completed. This milestone has enabled it to generate a return on its investment and bring this facility into operation with its three tenants up and running almost from day one, while also maintaining full occupancy across its Spanish portfolio.

InPost, Fragadis-Supermercados SPAR and ID Logistics are the occupiers of the Belgian logistics and semi-industrial property company’s brand-new platform. VGP Park Alicante is a state-of-the-art multi-tenant building that aims to obtain BREEAM Outstanding certification. To achieve this, it has been designed to high-quality standards and is sustainable and energy efficient, using 100% renewable energy, reducing water consumption and featuring thermal conductivity that enables better energy performance in the offices.

Food sector
With 23,639 square metres of floorspace for logistics and industrial use, VGP Park Alicante is located next to Mercalicante, which brings together more than 100 companies in the food sector, and has direct access to key transport links such as the A-31 motorway, which connects Alicante with Madrid, and the A-70 ring road.

Food distribution company Fragadis, through its SPAR brand, will use more than 16,000 square metres at VGP Park Alicante to optimise its distribution and respond to the growth it has experienced in the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia. The remainder of the platform will be operated by the Polish parcel delivery and logistics company InPost and the French logistics group ID Logistics.

24 assets in Spain
In the Valencian Community, VGP also owns and manages a logistics park in Cheste (Valencia), with 64,074 square metres of lettable space across three buildings and currently at 100% occupancy, as are the rest of its completed assets in Spain.

Including its joint ventures, it has a portfolio in Spain of more than 900,000 square metres of gross lettable area for logistics and industrial use, including the portfolio under development. This portfolio comprises 16 parks encompassing 24 assets, two of which are under construction, and located in

Alicante, Barcelona, Belartza (Gipuzkoa), Bilbao (Biscay), Burgos, Córdoba, Madrid, Pamplona (Navarre), Seville, Valencia and Zaragoza.
