SDG Compass: The guide for corporate actions in SDGs

GRI - United Nations Global Compact - WBCSD

The SDG Compass explains how SDGs affect your business by providing the tools and knowledge you need to put sustainability at the heart of your business strategy.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define global sustainable development priorities and aspirations for 2030 and seek to mobilise global efforts around a common set of goals. They call for action among governments, business and civil society to end poverty and create a respectable life  and opportunities for all, within the limits of the planet. Companies can use SDGs as an overarching framework to shape, direct, communicate and report on their strategies, goals and activities, enabling them to capitalise on a range of benefits. The SDG Compass is developed with a focus on large multinational companies. Small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as other organisations, are also encouraged to use it as a source of inspiration and adapt it if necessary. It is also designed to be used at the entity level, but can be applied at the product, site, division or regional level as required. But what is the purpose of the SDG Compass? The purpose of the SDG Compass is to guide companies on how they can align their strategies and measure and manage their contribution to the SDGs.
