At the event, which will take place online on February 15, the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem will be addressed, the Rising UP in Spain 2022 programme will be presented, and the world of entrepreneurship will be explored with IE University.

Rising UP in Spain is a global initiative aimed at startups that want to set up in Spain and expand their business to Europe. This program provides foreign startups with access to local partners and mentoring resources, as well as a work space for six months in the facilities of a Spanish company, legal advice, visa facilitation, access to investors and much more!

The event will begin with some introductory remarks from the economic and commercial counselor of the Spanish Embassy in Ottawa, Blanca Fernandez Barjau. Next, the director of Financing and Investor Relations of ICEX-Invest in Spain, Alberto Sanz, will make an introduction on the startup ecosystem in Spain.

Later, the Rising Up in Spain 2022 initiative will be presented by the head of the ICEX-Invest in Spain Department and head of the programme, Martin Jerch. The webinar will end with a mini masterclass by Marcos Eguillor, from the IE University Faculty, entitled: 'Scaling-up - Keys to grow and internationalize your organization -'. The closing remarks will correspond to the director of IE University, Canadian office, Aliya Somani.
