Electrification is an indispensable opportunity for the Japanese automobile industry in order to respond to the goal of “Net zero carbon society for 2050” set by the Japanese government. In this regard, Japanese OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) are making great investments worldwide, mainly in the USA and China, to make up the leeway. On the other hand, Spain, the second automobile manufacturer in Europe, is trying to maintain its positioning in the area “Green Mobility”. One of the featured tools is the creation of PERTE (proyectos estratégicos para la recuperación y transformación económica; strategic projects for economic recovery and transformation) for the development of electric and connected vehicles, whose investment map was approved in November 2022.

The purpose of this webinar is to present the current situation and efforts made towards “Green Mobility” in Spain and its positioning in Europe, as well as giving examples of investment projects by benchmark firms such as Toyota and Volkswagen.
