ICEX-Invest in Spain will be present at the next edition of the European Film Market - Berlinale, to be held from 15 to 21 February in the German capital.

During the event, our team from the audiovisual sector department will attend to potential investors from the industry interested in learning about the opportunities offered by Spain. Also, at the ICEX stand, there will be an information and enquiry point for the 'Spain Audiovisual Bureau', a one-stop shop to answer any queries from professionals in the sector. ICEX-Invest in Spain will also be at the Berlinale Co-Production Market participating in the Country Sessions in the Casino, together with the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (ICAA), and in the one-on-one meetings held in the Public Fund Meetings.

In addition, ICEX-Invest in Spain, together with the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in Berlin, has organised a meeting with German producers, in which the government plan 'Spain, Audiovisual Hub of Europe' will be presented, the system of tax incentives for filming and foreign co-production will be explained, and information will be provided on the services provided by the Spain Audiovisual Bureau.

The European Film Market is one of the main meeting places for the international film and media industries thanks to its close links with the Berlin Film Festival. Over an eight-day period, around 10,000 representatives from the international film and media industries – mainly producers, buyers and sales agents, distributors and financiers – come together to network, exchange, learn and do business. As the first major film market of the year, the EFM is in a strong position and serves as a compass, barometer and pacemaker for the new film year: new productions and developments, future-proof business models, contacts and deals.
