Swiss company Juice Technology chooses Malaga for HQ operations in Spain

It highlights the growing role of e-mobility in the Spanish automotive industry

Juice Technology, a global producer of charging solutions for electric vehicles, has chosen Malaga as the headquarters for its operations in Spain. This Swiss multinational company is joining the burgeoning innovation ecosystem in the area around the Andalusian city, which will potentially transform it into the leading technology hub in Southern Europe. From its new location, Juice Technology will offer fixed and portable global charging solutions for electric vehicles. It has led the market for 22 kW portable charging stations in Europe since 2014.

The multinational, founded and headed by Christoph Erni, is present worldwide through its own offices, subsidiaries and associated companies. The company currently employs a team of almost 200 people in research and development, production, administration, marketing, purchasing, sales and logistics teams.

According to the report entitled "Making the transition to zero-emission mobility" by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, in July of this year Spain had barely 3.3% of the charging points distributed throughout Europe. Despite this, the automotive market is undergoing a sweeping transformation towards e-mobility that will intensify in the coming years as a result of the need for new, cleaner, more environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient transport solutions.
