Italian group DoveConviene acquires Tiendeo

After merging with its ShopFully brand, it is now present in twelve countries and has 45 million users

The Italian group DoveConviene has turned around the worldwide market in drive-to-store marketing, which specialises in attracting consumers to businesses. The purchase of 100% of Tiendeo has grown it to have a direct presence in twelve countries, with a network of 45 million active users and over 400 customers, including leading retailers and some of the world’s best-known brands.

The CEO of ShopFully, Stefano Portu, will continue at the helm of a group he has helped grow since he founded it in 2012, a notable milestone being the 2020 takeover of PromoQui and VolantinoFacile in Italy. The founders of Tiendeo, Eva Martín, Jonathan Lemberger and María Martín, will maintain their senior leadership positions.

Digital decisions and local purchases
The merger of the ShopFully platform with Tiendeo, specialising in digitisation of catalogues and brochures, creates a synergy between two of Europe’s largest technology companies in the industry. Their shared goal will be to close the gap between digital decisions and local in-store purchases.

The new platform thereby hopes to increase customer visits to shops, saving them time after attracting their interest in online channels. This digital model is expected to sweep away traditional marketing techniques, mainly based on print media and representing an annual expenditure of 12.6 billion euros in Europe alone.

Creating more value
In his assessment of the transaction, Stefano Portu explained, “Our mission is to connect more and more consumers in Europe and all over the world, with their local shops using our patented technology. The acquisition of Tiendeo is accelerating our journey, with the goal of creating even more value for users and partners.”

The Country Manager of ShopFully in Australia, Dean Vocisano, also commented on the purchase, “The acquisition of Tiendeo is particularly exciting for our retail and brand partners, as it strengthens our drive-to-store ability, giving us the opportunity of reaching more users.”

At Tiendeo, Eva Martín is delighted to have joined the ShopFully group, “which is establishing itself as the drive-to-store leader in Europe,” and adding, “Joining forces will enable us to create new synergies between our businesses, combining resources and expertise to develop ever more innovative solutions for the markets where we operate.”
