Consulting firm SDG Group increases workforce by 25% in 2022

It now has over 1,000 employees in Spain after hiring 300 people over the last year
The consulting firm SDG Group, which specialises in data and analytics, is continuing to grow in Spain, where it has just reached over 1,000 employees. The Italian company's boost to its Spanish subsidiary accelerated this year when it recruited 300 new employees, representing a growth of 25%. This increase has been spread across all areas, with varied profiles and respecting the company's values of diversity and gender equality.
As company CEO Javier Urioste explained, "We are proud to have surpassed the magic figure of 1,000 employees in Spain", adding that, "Although we still have a long way to go, we think this is a very important time, especially for a company like SDG Group, which specialises in data. We are now facing the challenge of consolidating our team and continuing to grow in a sustainable way."
Highly skilled and diverse
Spread throughout the Iberian Peninsula, SDG Group's workforce stands out for its highly qualified profiles and diversity, with over thirty nationalities. The company has implemented a flexible, efficient and sustainable working model. Its employees can work from home whenever they want, and have several offices at their disposal, where an atmosphere of "concentration, co-creation and relationships" is promoted. This perhaps explains why the company's human resources department is called People First.
The head of the department, José Ortego, said, "We are always working to attract, train and retain highly qualified talent, with a clear focus on developing knowledge in data and analytics. We offer unique career opportunities with clients, both in Spain and internationally. Moreover, we not only employ engineers with experience in the industry, but also students in the final year of their degrees in subjects such as mathematics or physics."
Retaining internal talent
SDG's working model places employees at the centre of the company in order to enable them to develop professionally in the medium and long term. The company asserts that this is a way of retaining internal talent, which is also reinforced by ongoing training and the conviction that the company only evolves and prospers if there are motivated people who share its mission and values."
Specialising in data and analytics, SDG Group's clients include over half of the Ibex 35 companies. In line with the growth of its workforce, its turnover also grew by 30% during the last financial year to some 130 million euros.
