Svea Solar chooses Valencia for Spanish logistics centre

It inaugurates facilities in which it has invested 70,000 euros and predicts further investments

Svea Solar, the photovoltaic self-consumption solar energy provider has opened a logistics centre in Paterna (Valencia) which will distribute its products to the rest of Spain, in coordination with the centres it already has in Madrid (central area), Alicante, Barcelona and Málaga.

The location was chosen due to its concentration of solar energy suppliers, its optimal location with respect to the rest of its logistics centres and its proximity to the port of Valencia, which it uses as a supply channel for raw materials.

100 million euros for new investments
Investment in the new logistics centre has reached 70,000 euros. The inauguration comes just one month after the Swedish company closed a funding round where it attracted 100 million euros to accelerate its projects in Spain.

At that time, Svea Solar had already affirmed its special commitment to the Spanish market, the second in volume after Sweden for its growth potential. Among other projects, it announced the opening of a training centre in Alicante, where it has its Spanish head office, and the expansion of its hubs in Andalusia, the Basque Country, and Madrid.

Return on investment
Centred primarily on self-consumption installations, Svea Solar will use its new centre in Paterna to organise the logistics for the installation of solar panels, batteries and electric and hybrid vehicle chargers throughout Spain. It will also be used to control the assembly and electrical equipment needed to develop its business.

Svea Solar currently handles more than 100 solar photovoltaic self-consumption installations per month, in addition to industrial installations. The firm plans to multiply these figures by ten over the next five years. It therefore forecasts that it will recover the investment within the current 2022 - 2025 business plan.

The logistics centre consists of a thousand square metres, 120 of which will be devoted to offices. The General Manager of Svea Solar in Spain, Daniel Nilsson, stressed that the Levante area of Spain has always been a strategic enclave for the company, "Having all the commercial and logistical facilities available has made Valencia and Alicante the perfect locations to continue growing the company", he added.
