Zucchetti acquires Altai Soft to enter consultancy market

Spain is already the software manufacturer’s second largest market outside Italy, after Germany

The Zucchetti Group, one of Europe’s leading software manufacturers, has acquired Altai Soft through its subsidiary Zucchetti Spain. The Spanish company specialises in developing software and applications, mainly for tax and labour consultancies, professional offices, small businesses and freelancers, providing them with vertical software and customised projects.

Altai Soft’s specialisation will serve to expand Zucchetti’s portfolio of solutions, with tools that provide accounting, tax management, labour management, income and wealth management, corporate tax management and office management software. Strategically, with this acquisition, the Italian company is aiming to replicate its important position as an IT solutions provider in this new market.

Seventh addition
This operation also strengthens Spain’s influence in the group, which is present in 50 countries. This is actually its second largest international market in terms of turnover after Germany, which it is close behind. Altai Soft is the seventh Spanish manufacturer to join Zucchetti Spain, which is maintaining its strategy of continuing to expand its offer in the Spanish market, where it already has a team of 280 employees.

As Zucchetti Spain’s Managing Director, Justino Martinez, underlined, “The acquisition of Altai is in line with the Zucchetti Group’s strategy to enter the small SME and freelance market, and in particular the tax and labour consultancy sector.” He continued, “It is a question of starting to occupy an important position in this sector of the Spanish market, as we already do in other European markets, especially the Italian market, which is very similar to the Spanish one. With this purchase, we are continuing to focus on growth in Spain.”

Product catalogue
Existing Altai Soft customers will now have access to the Italian company’s entire product catalogue. Its Managing Director, Manuel Íñigo Vega, said, “This new challenge fills us with enthusiasm and confidence, maintaining our commitment to work to the highest level to be able to offer our customers the best products and the most qualified, agile and efficient customer service.”

Automation in the tax and labour consultancy sector has become a strategic decision to maintain profitability and productivity. This is one of the challenges that Altai will now take on as part of Zucchetti. SMEs and freelancers also increasingly require customised solutions to support them in their digital transformation process.

Altai was already working on these challenges, and its solutions will now be added to those already offered by the Italian group, with products for human resources management, ERP-CRM, robotics, POS solutions for hospitality and retail, automation, internet of things, M2M, and access control and video surveillance systems.
